SKU: M002-085

Description

Ford Fuel Vapour Valve

Part No:

  • Ford FINIS: 1890231
  • Ford Engineering: E1G1-9T540-AD

Vehicle Fitment:

  • Mondeo V 2.0L
  • S-Max 2.0L

Due to current emissions standards in Europe and the USA it is now a requirement for the use of diesel particulate filters (DPF). One issue is the regeneration of the diesel particulate filter as it requires such high temperatures. The fuel vapour valve is located pre DPF and is a critical component that enables the system to reach the high temperature required in the exhaust to burn off the particulate pre exhaust.

ECU

Most modern diesel injectors will need an ECU Correction Code (IMA, C2i-C3i, QR).

When replacing a Diesel Common Rail injector, it is necessary to register the Correction Code, located on the upper part of the injector, into the vehicles ECU.

The Correction Code is used to compensate injector production tolerances, this ensures the ECU balances the injector output to optimise performance and efficiency.
